Big Spring ISD is having a bond election.

Big Spring ISD formed a group of community members, parents, staff, and Big Spring ISD Administration for a series of meetings. Over several months, committee members looked at past and future enrollment, gathered a facilities assessment, and considered campus and departmental goals. The group evaluated all data to make a recommendation to the Big Spring ISD School Board.

BIG SPRING ISD BOND VIDEO

PROPOSITION A

  • New High School

  • Abate and demolish existing High School

  • New Band & Music at Goliad Elementary - 5th/6th Grade Campus

  • New Maintenance and Transportation Shop

  • Turf, Bleachers, Lighting, and Concessions - Soccer (by ATC)

  • Drainage at 4 Elementary Campuses

  • Replace 30 HVAC units (R22)

PROPOSITION B

  • New Lighting and 8-Lane Track (Memorial)

There will be a 31.8 cent tax rate impact associated with the Big Spring ISD May 2024 bond referendum.
